here's the reason why I didn't show up for classes from 10/26 to 10/30/98. (For now I have to come up with another reason...)

• very soon it was clear that I would have much time for drawing cartoons
• but maybe, I should have listened once in a while
• musicians' language sometimes sounds very strange to outsiders
• how to place a pen in a grand piano so that it is no longer playable and - even more important - how to get it out of there?
